How do I use Boveda in my reed case?

Boveda Size 8 packs are sized for worry-free reed storage for single reeds and/or double reeds for bagpipes, bassoons, clarinets, contrabassoons, English horns, oboes, and saxophones. When you’re not playing your woodwind, use Boveda to automatically control moisture in your reed case.

HOW TO USE BOVEDA WITH REEDS:

1. Use one (1) Size 8 Boveda in your reed case. Remove the clear overwrap. (DO NOT OPEN the brown packet itself.)
2. Place the Boveda in your reed case. Boveda is safe to touch reeds.
3. Close the case. That’s it! 

• DO NOT mix different RH (Relative Humidity) levels within the same reed case.
• DO NOT use Boveda in the same reed case with other humidification products because they’ll counteract each other, and reduce the efficiency of the Boveda.

WHEN TO REPLACE BOVEDA IN YOUR REED CASE:
Replace the Boveda packet with a new one every two (2) months or sooner if the pack is rock solid all the way through. (If you feel soft spots among some hard areas or hardening at the corners, Boveda is still working.)
