UPDATE: What’s up with legal rec in Canada? Adults will be able to buy cannabis legally in Canada as of October 17, 2018. As the date approaches, Canadian cannthusiasts still have many questions, including:

RECAP ON SOON-TO-BE-LEGAL CANNABIS CONSUMPTION IN CANADIAN PROVINCES
British Colombia, Quebec, Nova Scotia and Alberta will allow adults of legal age to consume cannabis in public in some approved form.
Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Ontario have already decided to ban public consumption.
In Newfoundland, Labrador and New Brunswick, legislators ruled cannabis use is only permitted in private residences. During special events, however, consumption may be permitted with approval from the property owners.

British Columbia: You can smoke cannabis wherever you can smoke cigarettes—except where kids are present.
Alberta: Same but not in a vehicle. (1:55)
Manitoba, Saskatchewan & Ontario: No public consumption of cannabis. (But maybe in Ontario on a boat!)
Quebec: Limited public cannabis use. (2:29)
Newfoundland, Labrador & New Brunswick: You can consume cannabis products only in your private residence or if you have written consent from the property owners. (4:06)
Nova Scotia: For the most part, you’re allowed to smoke flower in public. (4:32)
