How long will Boveda last in my instrument case?
For maximum efficiency, replace Boveda every three (3) months. Although it may appear that your Boveda is lasting longer than three (3) months, their efficiency will begin to decline over time as the packets take on or lose moisture.
In dry climates, if the packets go dry, your instrument is dry too and the wood is at risk for cracking and splitting.
In humid climates, Boveda doesn’t dry out. Instead it reaches its maximum capacity. The packet will absorb to a point that it cannot retain any more moisture. This puts your instrument at risk for swelling and warping.
Don’t forget to replace your Boveda. When you place your order, Subscribe & Save, so Boveda refills automatically arrive every three (3) months.
