Can I use too many Boveda packets?

Very simply, no! While we recommend a minimum number of Boveda to store with each size instrument, you can add as many additional packs to your case as you would like or as climate dictates.

The more Boveda packets that you add to your case, the more efficiently the packets will function and the better they’ll be able to regulate humidity levels.  More packets just means more protection for your instrument.

Unlike one-way humidifiers for guitars and other instruments (snakes, sponges, etc.), Boveda will never over-humidify your instrument.
In extreme climates (below 40% humidity or above 60% humidity), you can add more Boveda to your case. Extra Boveda Holders are available here.
