Can I use the Directional Humidity Control Kit with any instrument?
The Boveda Directional Humidity Control Kit was initially designed to direct humidity control into the sound hole of hollow body instruments when you display them on a rack or a stand, including a(n):
- Acoustic guitar
- Semi-hollow body guitar
- Hybrid electric or acoustic guitar
- Acoustic or electric bass guitar
- Ukulele
- Mandolin
- Any string instrument with a center sound hole or port
However, you can use the Directional Starter Kit with any wooden instrument to direct the Boveda toward potential problem zones, like the neck or head of your instrument.
BTW: You don’t have to remove the directional holder when you put your instrument in its case. You can use the Directional Humidity Control holder in conjunction with our Large Starter Kit and Small Starter Kit.
