Why isn’t a Size 8 Boveda working with my guitar?
Size matters. A Size 8 Boveda is smaller, so it contains less saturated saltwater solution than a Standard Boveda; too small, in fact, to balance humidity in a guitar case. A Standard Boveda 49% RH is designed for most instrument cases. Find out how many Standard Boveda packs to use in your instrument case here. Jump here to read when to use a Boveda Size 8 in an instrument, bow or reed case.
Please remember to always insert Boveda into a Boveda fabric holder before placing in an instrument case. The fabric holder allows Boveda to last longer and work better and acts as a liquid barrier if a packet is accidentally punctured.
