Why did my new instrument arrive from the manufacturer with Boveda?

To protect instruments during shipping and ensure they arrive in top condition, many manufacturers package their instruments with Boveda. 

Because these instruments are manufactured in ideal conditions (40 – 60% relative humidity), they require fewer Boveda. Once you receive your new instrument, you will need additional Boveda for ongoing storage and protection, as well as guitar moisture control. Boveda Starter Kits are available here.
