What RH Is right for me?
Boveda makes 2-way humidity control for many products, including cannabis, hemp, cigars, wood instruments, food and more. You choose what relative humidity (RH) you need based on the product you’re protecting. All Boveda are accurate to +/- 2% of the RH printed on the pack in an airtight environment.
For cannabis and hemp: Choose 58% RH or 62% RH. You can’t go wrong with either RH, it depends on your personal preference.
For premium cigars: 69% RH is the most popular Boveda for cigars. There are also three more choices for cigars, depending on your cigar humidor and/or the cigars you’re storing inside.
For seasoning wood cigar humidors: 84% RH.
For seasoning wood cases for wood instruments: 72% RH.
For wood instruments: 49% RH or High Absorbency 49% RH (for wood instruments in year-round extreme humidity).
For reed tips for woodwind instruments: 32% RH, 72% RH or 84%.
Find the right RH for foods, packaging and other uses here, including popcorn, dried herbs, brown sugar and more.
Don’t mix RH levels within the same container, humidor or case. And do not use Boveda with other humidification products because they will fight against each other and reduce the efficiency of Boveda.
